MATERDEI – BESPOKE BATHTUB

The endless buzzing on the streets, the sleeping alleys nearby, a storm of motorbikes getting through the silence which they animate like sparkles while a sense of maternity embraces everything: Mater Dei (from latin Mother of God) is the Neapolitan neighborhood which gives the name to this bathtub. Davdesain has developed this concept by juxtaposing the marble, smooth and white with the lower part made in black agate, lit with led. The striking contrast between the emotions, the tumultuous running of the life which gets more and more gentle while approaching the night, which is what this bathtub exactly does. The idea of some sort of maternal protection, the magnitude of the minerals and this gentle light, it all works like an artificial womb where ergonomic, art and humanity merge harmoniously. This bespoke bathtub has been designed and produced by Davdesain.
